DVD SUB TITLING

Video or DVD
For DVDs, subtitles are placed in a separate file enabling them to be turned on or off at the viewer’s option, using a menu at the beginning of the DVD. Since the subtitles are displayed by the DVD player, a decoder is not required in the TV monitor.

Production of captions for a DVD is a different process than the production of captions for broadcast or even VHS tape. The process is actually called subtitling and this text must be added to the DVD as part of the authoring process.

We can produce a subtitles for use in your authoring system. We can export a compatible file for use in apple studio pro, adobe encore, pinnacle impression, sonic solutions & spruce maestro.

We work with most of the top DVD authoring software packages. And can handle your entire DVD authoring project. Please contact us for more information.

If your master tape has already been captioned for broadcast, your encoded master WILL NOT produce captions if simply copied to a DVD. But we can retrieve the caption data from your master and produce a file that we can utilize when the DVD is authored. The result can be highly economical subtitling.

Likewise if we are producing a captioned broadcast master, we can then produce.

Subtitles for a DVD at a substantial discount. This process requires the production of Pop-On captions.
